Ramada Lake Garda (4-star)
4 nights’ half board. The hotel is situated in the hills a few kilometres from the village of Moniga, between Desenzano and Saló. The hotel offers very comfortable accommodation, all the well appointed rooms have a terrace or balcony, satellite TV, air-conditioning, phone, safe and mini-bar. Hotel facilities include swimming pool, sun-terrace, garden, patio-terrace and restaurant. For a small charge the hotel provides a minibus service to nearby Moniga or Desenzano.

Please note: Outdoor swimming pools are typically open between May and September, but this is dependent on weather conditions.

Your ship - Costa Classica
7 nights’ full board. Well equipped and spacious with lavish displays of art including sculptures, original paintings and murals, the Costa Classica offers passengers a comfortable and stylish cruising experience. Cabins are decorated in muted tones and all have a safe, telephone, TV and hairdryer. Evening entertainment is provided in the impressive Colosseo Showroom, and there are seven bars and a disco. Two restaurants offer international cuisine and the ship also features a shop, library, casino, two swimming pools, a spa and fitness centre.

Day 1: UK/Verona

Depart on your flight to Verona. On arrival transfer to Lake Garda for a four night stay.

Lake Garda (full day)

A full-day tour around this fabulous lake. We will stop at one of the many delightful resorts where you can shop and enjoy the scenery. Lake Garda is the largest of the Italian lakes, set against pretty lakeside resorts and dramatic scenery including the peaks of the Dolomites.

The Dolomites (full day)

This full-day excursion takes you through Italy’s Dolomite Mountains. The spectacular landscape is filled with jagged granite peaks which tower over picturesque towns and villages.

Verona (three quarter day)

A three-quarter day excursion to this ancient city, home to a fine Roman arena and an immense wealth of history and culture. Be sure to visit the well-preserved Roman theatre, the tombs of the Scaligeri family, the fascinating art collections housed in Fort Belvedere and Juliet’s balcony – Verona is the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Day 5: Trieste, Italy/Costa Classica

Transfer to Trieste and embark Costa Classica for your seven night cruise.

The port of Ancona is the gateway to Italy’s beautiful Le Marche region. Explore the town’s Romanesque cathedral and the 18th century Lazzaretto.

Day 7: Dubrovnik, Croatia

Arrive 08:00 – Depart 19:00

The city of Dubrovnik is known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and boasts a remarkable history. It once rivalled Venice in status. Admire the old town and stroll alongside the Stradun, the main promenade. Visit the Franciscan monastery with its historic pharmacy, the Rector’s Palace and the cathedral, which was built in the 17th century.

Day 8: Corfu, Greece

Arrive 12:00 – Depart 19:00

Corfu is considered one of the most beautiful Greek islands. It is covered with olive groves, historic sites, sandy beaches and attractive towns and villages.

Day 9: Kefalonia, Greece

Arrive 08:00 – Depart 14:00

The largest of the Ionian islands, Kefalonia has many wonderful beaches with fine sand and turquoise waters. Picturesque villages dot the mountainous landscape, which also boasts pretty lakes and verdant forests.

Day 10: Kotor, Montenegro

Arrive 13:00 – Depart 19:00

Located in a beautiful bay and surrounded by an impressive city wall, Kotor’s old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its labyrinth of winding, cobbled streets to discover ancient churches and museums as well as shops and bars.

Day 11: Split, Croatia
